This dress is interesting/unique but overall it just didn't work for me. I definitely went into it expecting that it could be cheap looking, but I didn't think it was. You just have to choose the right (minimal) accessories.I expected it to fit like the Zoe dress (as the under "dress" looks just like that style), which fits me perfectly, but it does not.I'm a size 12-14 with a 36D bust. I have straighter hips. I ordered an XL and the dress was too big in the hips and too small in the bust. Dress the Population is usually small in the bust for me (which is why I size up) but I've never had one be this big in the hips.The dress is quite long. I'm 5'7" and it was still dragging on the floor with 4" heels.The puffy shoulders also didn't work for me. I have athletic shoulders/arms so that wasn't a huge surprise. I'm sure they'd look much cuter on someone with a slimmer build.Finally, the dress I received was not only damaged (the ribbons to hang it were ripped and the base of the zipper was torn) but it was shipped rolled up into a ball in a bag the size of a sandwich bag. Sequins lay flat, with a great cut which make it comfortable as well as striking. Very reasonably priced gown which I enjoyed wearing as I received compliments all night at “The Mayors Ball”!
