I didn't know what to put for "sheerness" when asked- the dress is not sheer, which is great, but I didn't know how to interpret that on Amazon's rating scale.Anyway, this would be a great mother of the bride/groom dress. It is a great style for older women. I wanted something a little less matronly so returned it but wouldn't hesitate to order it when I get older.Dress was just as advertised. I ordered for my grandson's wedding and am very pleased. The dress fabric is very nice , the color (Wedgewood Blue) was as advertised and the sizing was perfect. Dress arrived on a hangar covered by plastic and then folded into a box......hardly a wrinkle. I am very happy with this purchase.Perfect fit.Alex Evenings carries petite size which is getting harder to find. The price was right and quality good. It’s for a grandmother of the groom formal wedding coming up this winter in Hawaii. I think we’re all set!Fit beautifully!The color is perfect, just the right amount of dressy for an evening wedding. The dress is a little loose, but not overly, so I decided to stick with it. I needed a nice dressy outfit for 2 different summer evening weddings. The top part of the dress is very feminine lace, 3/4 sleeves are just the right length, and the sequins add a nice sparkle to the lace. The only thing I’m concerned about is the chiffon skirt portion is a bit wrinkled. I just bought a steamer so hopefully that will take out the wrinkles. Hanging the dress up did not release the wrinkles. It’s a very nice dress for a wedding and does not make me look matronly.I felt good in this dress which I wore for my granddaughter's wedding in June. It was not too warm even though it has 3/4 length lace sleeves. I got many compliments on the dress. It has enough sparkle on the lacy top to make it special. I did wear a choker necklace with the dress because I was afraid jewelry would snag the lace top of the dress. It was not too tight and I could slip it over my head even with a zipper in the back. Zipper was good for not messing up the special hairdo though. I would recommend for a special day.Was disappointed to receive a $200 dress thrown in in a plastic bag and then into a box. After reading reviews how difficult the wrinkles in the skirt were to get out and some who couldn’t even get them out, I was really nervous since I needed the dress for my sons wedding that week. Well, I have no idea what I did differently but I had no problem getting the wrinkles out of the skirt part of the dress. I put the iron on a low temp and tested it just under the sequin top at the waist to make sure it wasn’t going to burn. I pretty much kept the iron moving. Don’t stop in one spot. Give yourself time. It might’ve taken me 10 mins or so to iron the skirt part of the dress and it was beautiful. I only ironed the outer layer of the skirt, not the liner. I even upped the dial 1 to make it warmer. The dress has some give. Very comfortable but not sloppy. Well made dress. Unfortunately I had to return it because it didn’t suit my body shape (apple, short-waisted, 5’1”).Did not know what quality to expect by ordering this dress online, well it was perfect for me, good quality, I was very pleased with this purchase.
